Currently running a 26p Tempest. Get to about 5800rpms are max rpms I can get to depending on jackplate height and trim. 68mph if i'm lucky, most times it's 66mph by myself, less with a co-angler.
Hit something underwater and scarred up the prop pretty well. Going to get it worked, but also looking to buy a new prop. Been told a 25p Fury with added vent holes would be what I need to gain a few more mph. Is this still the case?
I'm green when it comes to props and pitch, so if someone wouldn't mind entertaining me....why wouldn't I want to run a higher pitch? Wouldn't it allow to keep my rpms down while pushing more water? Or would it be more prop to turn not allowing me to gain the rpms i'm currently seeing?
Thanks for the help
