Thinking about getting into bow hunting next year. I'm 61 years old, decent shape what would be a good cross bow that doesn't break the bank to hunt with?

Hard to beat a Bowtech- Stryker fast, great trigger. The ones that do 350 fps are fast enough and draw is 135lb on mine.

I have a tenpoint turbo. No complaints. They have a cheaper model for around 500 that had some really good reviews.

I love my Tenpoint Vapor, but it's a little pricey.

Our local Walmart had some marked down now that hunting season is over for less than 200 dollars.
If you want to just enjoy bowhunting without getting all technical and crazy....find a good used Horton Hunter model of crossbow. Shouldn't set you back very much, very accurate and plenty of power and speed to harvest deer. My dad (72 years old) still uses his.
If you are still looking, the Centerpoint Sniper 370 is a great crossbow for the price. I have one, and I have no complaints so far.
If interested..I have a brand new Barnett Game Crusher 2.0 330fps..165lb draw...Its never been shot...I received it as a gift and put it together out of respect for the gifter..I am not a hunter of large game..I will never shoot it....IM me if you want....
