Ram mount upgrade

I have a hds12 and I'm looking to update my ram mount. it never stays tight and seems to sag.
What aluminum mounts are you guys using? Looking for suggestion, do's and dont's.

Agreed! I have 2 of them on my boat. I have an 1199 on the bow and and counsel. Lake St.Clair is as good a place to test them out as you can get and the only trouble I have had was due to my error tightening the one on the bow down. Just be sure the bearings are in the detentions when you tighten them down and you will have no trouble. They come in red, blue, silver and black. There may be more colors by now. You can also get different colored knobs for them to make them pop a little.

Thanks for the input! They are badazz!! I will be ordering one this week! What length do you recommend for the dash area . Mine is mounted on the flat part to the right.
