    Trolling Motor upgrade

Going to up grade to the Minn Kota Ultrex on my 721.
I have been looking at the I pilot and the I pilot link.
Just wondering if the Link model is worth the extra $400.
I don't mind spending the the extra money if it is worth it.
So for you guys that have the link model how much do you use it
and is it worth it to you or could you live without it.

A little back ground on the water I fish.
Kentucky lake 90% of the time and I know the spot lock is going to
be a great feature to have fishing off shore.

thanks for any insight you can provide.

All I needed to see was Ky lake. If you have humminbirds its worth more than the money for the upgrade. It may not be worth it for other lakes in the area just depends on how well they are mapped with lakemaster but fishing a ledge, you can set it to follow a contour line at say 20' so you can fish the top of the ledge and never have to touch the trolling motor. Ky is really the only place I've used the features of the link since the other lakes I fish aren't mapped very well with lakemaster. I have Lowrance but bought a helix 9 just to use with the ultrex.

Like Jason said, it's worth it but you have to have a Humminbird to use it. Most of the lakes a fish in Wisconsin are on my Lakemaster charts, so it's been a great feature that I haven't fully explored yet.
