    Does it have metal flake or gel? The metal flake hulls will get the hair line cracks easier than the all gel coat hulls. I had a 1996 202 that had some hair line cracks in the corners of the splash well. I would look at how well the everything is sealed on the transom, any brown dribbles is a sign of water intrusion.

    It's either stress or swelling from water intrusion. Regardless you've got to pull something off the transom and take a look.
