    Solix flush mount

Hey guys...got a question I can’t get a definitive answer to...I recently purchased my first Nitro, a 2018 Z18...I have always been a Lowrance guy, but I want to switch to Solix...can a Solix 12 be flush mounted at the console?...I know Humminbird has a flush mount kit for the Solix 12 but it’s unclear if it will fit flush mounted in my Z18...some guys are telling me yes, others say no...before I drop the money on it I want to know for sure because I def want to flush mount at the dash...I have posted on threads, and even called Humminbird directly and they couldn’t give me an answer...any help would be greatly appreciated...thanks in advance

This won't help you but I avoided flush mounting my Solix 12 and went with a Precision Sonar mount due to being able to change the units angle to my preference, which is angled down a bit from the angle of the dash. The mount also allows me to use the unit without taking a hand off the wheel when running and if there is a problem with the unit on the water, I can easily move the bow unit to the console if I want to. More non-helpful info for you, I was told that either the Solix flush mount kit or the Solix unit depth did not allow it to fit in the new Nitro dash. I don't remember which one nor can I confirm that info. If you go to the Precision Sonar website you can see my Z21 with a Solix 12 mounted at console and bow.

Post some pics of your rig, I have a Nitro and was curious to see how the blue Talons looked.

no prob!...I’m hitting low to mid 60’s, but still have some playing around to do with jackplate and trim...I’m guessing I’ll top out around 66-67ish max...that’s with me and all my gear, no co-angler

    great minds think alike

I have a foil but not a cbaily foil. My set up is very similar to yours (18'9" two talons 150 HP) so I am very interested in how much it improves your hole-shot...I want a report when you get it installed.
