Curious... Outlaw with a Flashed SHO?

Just curiousity killing the cat here... I think I have bled almost all I can get out of my 2000 Outlaw SC with 200 Opti Pro XS, it will run low to mid 70's loaded to fish(Love the boat and it fits my fishing needs and garage room needs perfectly). Not sure what the performance upgrades are for a 200 Opti 3.0 Pro XS, from my understanding it would be a lot to turn it into a 250 Pro XS or impossible, any info out there? So with that in mind, a 200 Yamaha SHO flashed to a 250 or 300 would weigh the same, give the same or better fuel mileage and turn the Outlaw into a... 85'ish boat? Thoughts on this? Or would this push the limits of the Hull into an unsafe operating zone?

    Thanks for any input!

    it hasnt been done...
    my 2003 OUTLAW DC, had a 2002 225 EFI....
turned a stock 27 trophy to 5800 at 78.5mph fully loaded with gas and empty livewells with 2 people, summertime...
if you haven't ran a 27 trophy on that boat, you are leaving MPH on the table...
    #2 prop would be a 26Fury 3blade...

Hahaha! Well it would be a while anyway but just some thought! And it’s never a good thing to leave anything on the table, food/money/MPH! Once the poles get installed, back to the drawing board.

There was a guy a while back had a red Outlaw and had a 250xs on it ran mid 80’s so the Outlaw can be driven at speed. Seat time a must as the need for speed goes up. Outlaw at mid 80’s is not the same as a 2100 @ mid 80’s.

Even an Intimidator is a handful at mid 80's. I can't imagine an Outlaw.

That is my concern, the Outlaw at mid 70’s is an easy drive, mid 80’s is what I don’t know. Would there be any speed gain with a stock 200 SHO over the 200 Opti?

WELL BACK IN ABOUT 2010 TO 2011 A FRIEND NAME TRAVIS HERSERY OR BBC NAME WAS THE DUKE. HE HAD A INTIMIDATOR 19'3 INCHES LONG AND PUT A 300X MERCURY ON THE BACK OF IT.. IT RAN GPS 94 MILES AN HOUR.. HERE IS A LINK OF THE BOAT. I HAD TALK TO HIM A LOT. HE SAID IT HANDLE IT GREAT . THE FASTER IT WENT THE EASIER IT WAS TO DRIVE. HERE IS THE LINK IF IT STILL WORKS... ENJOY, AND IF IT WAS MY OUTLAW I WOULD PUT THE FLASHED 200 SHO ON IT AN LET THAT SUCKER EAT....... http://www.bbcboards.net/showthread....773&highlight=

Wow! That’s a bad ride. Doesn’t look like to much to handle at speed either. I’ve seen your vids a bunch of times JR, awesome stuff you’ve got going. Looks like something I may try just not right now for financial reasons. But doable nonetheless!
