Garmin Echo 73 transducer

I mainly fish S Florida fresh water. No more than 30 feet depth. Most 20 or less. Which trolling motor transducer for SI and down imaging is best? Bob

I think you only have 1 choice a CV52

I just purchased 73DV with chirp transducer GT22, you buy the GT22 at Cabelas for $169, this transducer according to those are in the know is better than
CV transducers

Sorry but not true. I had help with many who know Garmin before buying the 73DV, then the 840 came up and bought that as well but without transducer. Go to The Hull Truth and ask Gil of Semperfishing about different transducers. I have been using my 73DV in basement and in simulator mode, its shows chirp view and down vu view, etc. I hope this helps

GT 22 is an 8 pin down view only. No side view.
GT 52 or the CV 52 will get down and side view.
For 30 ft of water the CV52 is your huckleberry.

Yes your correct that its down view and no side view, my post was that it is also a chirp transducer
