It's pretty cool, especially compared to larger operations who turn out more yet at BCB you can feel the pride and get to see the dedication behind the product. It's like the old saying "You want it done, or you want it done right?"

When I order a new Cat (some day) I’ll wait as long as it takes to get the exact boat I always wanted. Knowing it’ll be BCB quality when I get it will make the wait much easier.

So just curious. Has Bass Cat received any of their Yamaha motors yet?

Maybe the new Merc 4 Stoke will be announced at Maimi and no need to wait for the Yammie. That's what I am hoping for we shall see soon enough.

They have and they are... trickling in...

The Mercury four stroke for bass use is not going to be announced at Miami.

I ordered on the 6th. When do you recommend I follow-up with my dealer?

This is a very helpful thread regarding Yamaha SHO's for built & sold boats. My new Ranger is waiting on one. Hopefully they are trickling in there as well.

Thank you for the updated information. I really appreciate it!

You were told 14 weeks. My guess would be at 10 weeks. I was told 10-12 weeks and I just checked on mine (8th week)and was told I was on schedule at this point.

Doubt it would be quicker then estimated time so I would hold off a while.

[QUOTE=Bass Cat Boats;8994603]There is no secret that the factory is very long on orders now. Then add to that Yamaha is now 11 months on dealer orders. We have not given production times on any Lynx orders this season and dealers were informed of the situation in mid December, at dealer training. Next in numbers on order is the Eyra and then the Caracal. The Pantera Classic also has some back order, though most are dealer stock. Dealers can get some idea of production and they are locking the schedule in two week increments.

The marine industry is extremely busy and capacity of production is short for all brands.[/QUOTE
so why would bob take my money and not tell this mine was ordered with a Yamaha in September wtf
bcb don’t know that then think I’m going ask for a refund with interest

    Bhatfield,

we dont know the situation, though Yamaha did not inform anyone of the situation till about December. It's not the dealers faults that their normal lead times are not normal today. The industry is about maximum on capacity for marine engines and bass boats.

I ordered a 2018 Pantera 2 at the end of October, with a Yamaha 200 SHO, and recently picked it up. Total time was 13 weeks.
Hearing about all these delays related to Yamaha availability I’d say I was extremely lucky to get it so quickly.

Even if Mercury came out with a new 4 stroke I would wait 2 years make sure there not going to be any problems

The amount of engineering and product testing that goes into new mercury motors helps bring a very reliable product to the market; i.e : mercury 150 4stroke, or the 350 verado, darn near bulletproof very few problems and hardly any revisions, I would not be scared of a new motor year, they learn more each year and get better each year.

Update: Heard week 8 that build on my new Sabre with ProXS will begin Week 15, putting it 3-4 weeks behind. Total is now 18-19 weeks.
