    Prop size

I have a 20’ 99 model 200 with a 200hp Merc currently has a 4 blade trophy 25p. I’m looking to get a extra prop for a spare and figured it would be a good time to try something different to perform better. Right now the top speed is mid 50s and the hole shot seems fine. I’m new to the big bass boat world so I’m not 100% sure which way to go on the prop.

That rig should be running low to mid 60's. And I would suggest a 25 tempest worked by mark croxton or a reputable prop guy. But run it first and see how it does. Even another 25 trophy worked. Balancing and blue printing a prop makes a huge difference in most situations.

We need current numbers on the performance you get now. RPM at WOT, Water Pressure, GPS speed, Prop to pad. What Merc 200 is it? You say hole shot is good, how long does it take to get on plane?

Would have to wait til spring to get that info. I will be adding a jackplate in the spring as well the prop to pad can be changed to whatever. 200 Mercury efi is the motor model. I would say it jumps right up on plane so maybe 3 secs but not really never timed it. I got the boat late fall and was only able to get it out a handfull of times

The JP will make a difference so once that's installed you can start doing some testing. Until then don't waste money on another prop. Will be looking for your posts in the spring.

My last boat was a 2000 superpro 200 with a 200efi. After water testing at propeller dynamics we went with a 25p trophy. Wot it would run 70mph fully loaded with jp set 3.25 below pad.
