    Pitch to starboard

    Greetings all:

I have a 2002 20XL Pro Star with a 2002 Yamaha 200. When attempting to go on plane, with the engine trimmed down, the boat literally pitches to the starboard side that I would estimate a good 30 to 35 degrees. As you get on plane, pick up speed and trim the engine out the boat will level off. I have never had any of my boats, or ever been in another bassboat that did this. I am wondering in anyone might know what causes it, and if there is a way to avoid it.

    Much thanks in advance

trim up sooner. My nx750 was scary if you didnt start trimming up as soon as the bow started coming down. Mine did it cause the pin to limit engine tuck was removed for better holeshot

My 2008 285xl does the same thing, I believe they say it's from prop torque. You'll get used to it, like said, start trimming up as soon as possible and can also steer in apposite direction.

I have a 2000 21sx extreme that does the same thing. Start trimming up sooner and it's not as bad. Load also seems to effect it.

My 2000 Renegade 20 does the same thing. I thought I was crazy the first time it happened.

My little 254 with a 75hp on it will do the same thing. There have been a few times when it leaned badly when taking off, so much lean that I pulled the throttle back and let it go back to idle. Trimming up as soon as the bow starts to plane works for me.
