supercharged, at low rpms, then phase the boost out to NA so 1. it makes 800 torque and and 264 hp 2. natural aspiration at higher rpms, restores fuel milage

Figure it will be a 300ish hp. Their big motors are heavy and sluggish.

Ignorant post... Same weight as a HPDI 2 stroke and way more torque.

Kind of like the irony of calling someone's post IGNORANT huh?

You better use GOOGLE to look up the definition of word IGNORANT.... I didn't resort to name calling... Are you an adult? Your profile shows no age.

Stop it! ... Lets see if you are right or I am... Show me how heavy and sluggish these new motors are when they are exposed.

I'm not talking about what they are GOING to introduce. I'm talking about their existing 300+ engines. That why I think those are due to be updated. They have been going through their product line lightening up their engines, and increasing performance. Their big engines are due in my opinion.

Wow!... Nobody saw this coming. I was happy with the SHO since they ironed out some of the early issues. I'm guessing this is why there are availability issues with the current SHO engines.

So the F300 is heavy and sluggish, but the 11lb lighter F250 is not?

I'm not talking about the VF SHO stuff. All that stuff is up to date and doing fine. I think their new engine, or engines will replace the 300-350 saltwater engines. Heck their 350 is a V8. Could be their F200, it weighs more than their F250. The market has come back for the double/tripple engine boats. I just don't think it will be bass boat engines. Although they know Mercury is about introduce a new series of four stroke engines for freshwater boats, so maybe they launch Gen2 SHO engines. They just sell so many more world wide engines for saltwater boats than they do bass boats, I just think the opportunity is greater with those big engines.

The clip on their Facebook page made it look like it was exclusively a bassboat engine.

It will probably be a copy cat of the awesome Verado that has been out since 2005.
