My guess is an SHO 2.0 with drive by wire and auto-trim.
I would agree they have been using fly by wire in motorcycles for over a decade. Would it be allowed to build a motor with 400 hp on tap but tune it not to break what is allowed for a 250 rating? This would allow even more torque! And sipping fuel just meandering down the lake at 45% throttle

I think Yamaha was shaving production to create more demand as there new motor drops, as they said, in there Facebook video, “nobody saw this coming” and they were right.
