    U-40 Cork Sealer or??

I just did a few of my cork handles after I cleaned them good with U-40 cork sealer.
It does a nice job "BUT" it sure seams like I can get the same thing with
MINWAX Satin Polyurethane. Anyone ever use it and think the same??

This is what I use. Seals the cork and looks great.

no I never gave that a thought. U40 is proven. My finding is that after a few months a rod sealed with u40 feels the same to me as one without; meaning I have a good grip on my handle without thinking about grip pressure. The handle will take on soil but cleaning them is simple and I don't have cork falling out. Handles can dry if I fish in the rain

Using something else could make them slick or unable to dry out. Why mess with what works?

I’m pretty sure I’ve tried just about everything out there at some point.
U40 Cork Seal is my choice for cork handle protection over all others.
However, over the years I’ve moved to high compression EVA instead.
