I had a guy from Europe that worked for me explain the Value Added Tax. Maybe Tim Kelly could explain? I also could use a refresh of what he told me.

Pretty much just sales tax. It's included in the published price of most goods unlike the States where it's added at the till.

Just did a Lund boat builder for the 16ft fury tiller with the basic trailer:

    1600 FURY

    Tiller In Arctic White

    $6,132

    MOTOR

    20ELHPT

    $4,051

    OPTIONS

Bunk Trailer Painted Black (Default) (1)

    $1,067

    DISCOUNTS

    Spring Catch

    -$300

    NAPDISC

    -$1,953

    TOTAL: $8,997

Same boat 15995 euro, or $19000

Wow i guess freight is a killer. I guess buying an American Fiberglass Bass Boat would be very expensive.

I don't think freight would be that much. I bet you can squeeze a few boats into a shipping container. You should see how much it costs to buy a sonar this side of the pond!

Just buy it over here and drive it to the UK

Then you can see how well that riveted hull holds up

It will hold up just fine. I think you need to watch the videos again and again until it sinks in that Lunds are the best boat EVER!

Record the experience please. Lund may give you a discount for the marketing.

I think it makes more sense to keep flying you to Canada where we can fish until we drop over from fatigue! Do I need to bring you a sonar on my next trip to Europe? That will be in late February/early March.

Excellent. Look forward to seeing you. I might even have a spare bedroom again by then! Going to Holland the first or second weekend in March.

Your kidding right. The whole country fishes. If you don’t they think your weird.

Lived in Munich Germany, Brussels Belgium. Back in the early and mid 80’s Rotterdam in the mid 90’s. Man I do miss it to. Moved around main land Europe a lot. Biggest regret, never making it to the Isles. So you two have fun.

    Have an adventure everyday !

It's 23% VAT in Ireland, Tim is right about buying sonata too, it's crazy the price of humminbird or lowrance sonars over here, I have a humminbird 898csi a few years now, I paid over 1k for it

That's not too bad. Presumably that's the hull only price, so add another 10k for a motor and 3k for a trailer and 2k for a trolling motor... Still a years salary.
