Best time to go in my opinion. BFL out of Goose Pond last weekend of Feb. Alot of times the number of boats in an area can give you an idea of what to do. If you see 100 boats in the back of bays or lined up on the main channel. Take the free info and look at a map to find other places like it. Anyway good luck and post how you do!
FLW Tour fished Guntersville last February - search their website, should have plenty of info on what to do on Guntersville that time of year.
