Phoenix Owners Tournament **REFER TO BIRD RALLY THREAD STICKIED AT THE TOP OF THE FOR

Guys myself and a couple of other Phoenix owners and a local Phoenix Dealer are working on setting up a Phoenix Owners Tournament for this year, This is not intended to be a Big Money tournament but there will defiantly be a entry fee and 100% payback based on turn out. there will also be other prizes fishing or Phoenix related. This will be a great chance to meet fellow members and see other Phoenix boats. we will be launching on HWY 150 in Mooresville, NC, There will be fisherman friendly places to stay 10 minutes from the ramp and lots of good food around for those who want to spend a few days and catch lots of Lake Norman Spotted Bass. We really need at least 50 boats to make it worth having, we are planing to have it after all the spring trails and most of the federation and BFLs are over, which means end of summer or early fall. We would love to have it in the spring but their are so many trails going on I would not expect a good turnout.
this is open for discussion and I would like to start getting a count on who is interested in attending if the dates are suitable.

I don't know if I can make it that far but I may try. I wish phoenix would organize something like basscat. A boat to the winner and all that. It's a really big turnout when they have them on rayburn. Still be fun though

As long as we have some place to hook up our camper to, and near the lake, dates work our, we would come.

I understand that, their needs to be multiple in different areas, hopefully we will have enough in the surrounding states within reasonable driving distance to make the first Eastern one a success. I realize its been tried before in other places but im going to do everything I can to make this one work.

Personally I think you SHOULD schedule it OVER the tours etc, you say your trying to avoid.

Recreational fisherman are who buy boats and keep these boat builders around.

Cause most of us fish trails and if its scheduled over one of them in the spring I won't be going. It had happened over the past few years where we try to get one going and there are conflicts and quite a few don't show up.
