    Kavlar/ comp layup.

I’m looking at new boats there now. The kavlar/comp layup is a 4000$ option. By the time I figure exchange and taxes it’s a 7000$ option by the time I get it here.

Im hearing that the new comp Hull isn’t like they use to make and only shaved 50lbs off the boat now.

Is there any truth to this ?

It's closer to 80 -100lbs lighter I was told , it's not a comp hull they just substitute a carbon fiber mat over the fiberglass so it's lighter and stronger , it still has Kevlar in the same areas, all else is the same as a standard layup. Same warranty . This info came from my tour with Tom.
