    Braidwood Spring Tournament

    Hi everyone,

The bass club I am in, Lunkers Unlimited, is holding a spring tournament on Braidwood Lake on April 14, 2018. The tournament is limited to 50 boats and boat number is based on when the entry is received. For more information and registration form visit our website lunkersunlimited.net or email us at lunkersunlimitedinc@gmail.com

Also, we are looking for new members, both boaters & non-boaters. The thing that makes our club a bit unique is that we fish lakes that are not just the local lakes that we can go to anytime and our tournaments are 2 days (If you're going to drive a few hours might as well fish for a couple days). However, our range is kept within 300 driving miles from our meeting site in Mokena so it doesn't get too crazy. Again for more information on when and where we meet, visit our website and stop by to sit in on a meeting, you might find the club to be something that interests you.

    Sincerely,

    Brian

Good morning folks. This is the first year that Lunkers Unlimited is hosting a tournament at braidwood. The tournament is about 2 weeks away and at this point we only have 4 spots filled out of 50. Being that this is our first time, we are not sure if guys typically wait till the week of to sign up? We are un-sure if we will have enough entries to proceed. (What's a good minimum boat tournament?) If your club has hosted tournaments before some insight on past experience would be helpful. Also if you are planning on attending please just shoot us a call or text message. Thanks again from all the guys from Lunkers.

Back in the 1970's and early 80's Lunkers Unlimited always hosted what was at that time one of the largest team tournaments in the state at Rend Lake. They had a close working relationship with Forrest Wood and there was always a Ranger boat donated for 1st Place. My dad won that tournament two different years and back in those days you actually received the boat that was donated as opposed to a certificate.
