    Lake Griffin Lodging

Would like to plan another weekend getaway to try and fish Lake Griffin, where would be a good place to stay, somewhere preferably with own boat ramp?

Are you having trouble find vacancies? Have you tried Lake Harris Hideaway? It's not on griffin - but it's only 20 min to the Griffin launch at Herlong Park.

Edit: Sorry, it's Lake Harris Lodge. It's right next door to Lake Harris Hideaway

Skip the ramp at the location and use the Holiday Inn Express in Tavares.
Ramps all around, plugs at the hotel, nice restaurant immediately next door.
Can’t really go wrong with this property.

This is true - but if you launch into another lake on the chain...you have to lock in to Griffin through Haines creek. Haines creek is No Wake zone the entire canal. That will take a good 45 minutes - one way. Just something to keep in mind.

I have not been but it looks like there is the Black Bass fishing resort on the creek leading into Griffin.

I would stay at Holiday Inn Express in Tavares and trailer to the herlong ramp on griffin. It’s only 10 minutes from hotel. Plus you access to Venetian Gardens (Harris) and TRP (Eustis).

We stayed at the Fisherman's Cove back in January and fished Little Harris and some of Big Harris, we didn't do so well. I was told Griffin was the better bass lake. Was looking for a place on Griffin because of that and unfamiliar of how the "lock system" works, never been through any.

I haven't fished Griffin lately...but I've actually heard the opposite.

With all of the pressure the chain has had lately...it will likely be tough anywhere you go.

I was out on Little Harris for 3 hours yesterday and boated 3 bass for about 10 lbs...best one being 5.3

You just got to find them, whichever lake you end up at. That is the challenge here lol
