Fantastic upgrades, especially with the cost of a new boat in todays market.

Thanks for the kind words guys! Even though my girl has been babied and garage kept, the seat seams have split an inch or two in a few spots. I ordered all new seat skins from Ranger a few months back and have been doing some research on where to get them installed. Thanks to some recommendations I've found on other posts, I'm going to check out Marine Pro in Newberry, SC and Recreational Upholstery in Sumter, SC. There's no question Ranger started using much more durable vinyl a few years back on the new seats. Like so much more durable I'll be interested to see how long it takes for guys with the new heavier seat material to get any seam splits. I'm not sure what year it was that most would agree Ranger significantly upgraded the weight and durability of their seat material?

Thanks for sharing your experience David. Knowing that you and I are not alone in having a bad experience with the 2-6 brackets, I'm not sure why the folks at PowerPole continue to recommend them for Rangers. If someone knows someone at PowerPole that can "make a difference" they should update them. I know I called the general number and spoke to one of their reps when dealing with my issue - guess I should have pushed harder like you did to get them swapped. I just ended out selling my 2-6 brackets on the BBC Miscellaneous for sale board for a minimal loss on the swap.

Very nice! I agree that the cost of a new Ranger is a major commitment. I’m in the process of a major interior upgrade on my 06/519VX. That’s what I enjoy about this site guys sharing ideas that can help others awesome!!!! I plan on sharing all my upgrades and improvements to the old girl. I’ve been a diligent owner keeping the old girl current. Upgrades to date include ultrex( total game changer). Lowrance HDS units and glass repairs. New stuff this winter new rug,new seat skins, rub rail insert, seat floor sleeves, and cosmetic up,dates. Always plenty to to do on a boat you love. Again great job on your rig!

Great place for the remote drain plug switch, that idea is getting stolen.

That looks great. I did a similar “remodel” of my 05 and I got almost all my information from this site. This place is a great resource and I would give my Thanks to everyone as well!
