Rigging a new Sea Ark ProCat 240

I am starting to rig a new 2018 Sea Ark ProCat 240 with an Evinrude 250HO G2, and a 6" Bobs Machine jack plate. I am figuring on using 2 15' talons, a MinnKota Ulltera 36volt and Garmin electronics.

Has anyone else gone through a complete rigging of a similar aluminum boat and might have any found pitfall solutions they care to offer?

Also I am looking for opinions on the Stealth1 engine powered battery charging product. I am thinking on using this for a battery charging solution.

Yeah that boat sounds like a beast. I really like the size and floor plan of that rig.

I have a few pics of the boat on the trailer less engine, etc. Will post as soon as I can.

I will be picking up the G2 next weekend.

It is a great layout and has a huge amount of dry space that should work well for skinny water and big water alike.

Best part will be the easy maintenance! No carpet or glass hull to worry about!

You're going to REALLY like that boat. I'm very curious to what it will run with the 250. My friend had a 20 V-CAT with a 175HP Zuk and it would run about 49 MPH with a tailwind. I'm guessing you'll be around 60 to 62 with that engine. One thing that I found amazing with the 20' Sea Ark was that it had an AMAZING ride and also a dry ride. It was truly a jack of all trades and it would also bass fish very nice as well as crappie fish. One thing to watch out for on the jack plate is that you have enough room when you fully trim the motor up it won't hit the leading edge of the transom edge. I know my friend had a Hyd jack plate (6" setback) on his when he bought from Abernathys and how they rigged it (Their rigging was less than impressive at Abernathy. Actually, it looked to be an after thought. They used regular mounting screws to add the relays for the Hyd jackplate that had already almost rusted thru) What happened with his, if you didn't have the jack plate in the exact right position and you fully trimmed motor up, it would hit the leading edge of transom top. He accidentally hit the jack plate button by mistake and then when he trimmed up the arms of his Hyd Steering put a large dent in the top of the transom. There might be a travel limit on the trim of the Evinrude G2, so you might want to check that out.

That should be one slick rig! One guy I know here in MO has a Procat 240 with a 225ho G2 and I think he said he can get 57-58mph WOT out of it. Everything on the boat is black and red. It's slick looking!
