That pic is very deceiving. Really doesn't stick up far at all.

It sticks up 6'-6 with trailer on truck hitch. Depending upon how your boat fits in garage (back straight in, push diagonally to port or push diagonally to starboard) the bottom "step" can add length to the trailer.

Do you have any idea the length the bottom step adds past the pivot point on the swing tongue?

I have one on my boat and it also adds about 4 or 5 inches to the length of the trailer past the folding tongue. Just saying, but it is a great add on for us old guys.

It depends on the year but all of them will add length to your trailer, some as little as 4 inches and some up to 7 inches. Ranger trailers have their winch post further up the trailer, especially the later model trailers 2102 to current and it does add some length, if your really close it may not be the step for you, at least for now. I have an idea in my head that will fix this but I need time to build it, hopefully I can get this designed and into production soon. Thanks guys for all the orders, our customers are the best.

Backing the boat straight in to your garage, the bottom step adds 5" to the length.

For me, I have to back my boat in, drop the trailer and then push the boat over to the port side diagonally to get it in the garage. That then makes the "corner" of the bottom step the longest point on the trailer. This adds about 14" to the diagonal length of my trailer..... not a problem for me, I just have to shove the boat over another foot or so to offset the added length. See the picture ..... you can see my boat parked and the position of the bottom step.

Added about 6" to the front of mine with the tongue folded. Had (have) a diamond plate wheel chock screwed intio the floor for the rear axle tire that I had to move back the same amount. Even with that, one of the best additions I've made. You WILL love it.

Thanks guys to all that responded to my above question. I could really use one of these steps but I just don't have that extra length in my garage to accommodate the extra length that bottom step adds to the overall length of the trailer.

Any problem with the boat hitting the unit? Many windy boat loadings here in Oklahoma.

Really like the way it looks. Thanks.
