Post 2003 Triton Tr-20 Tach/ Trim gauge Replacement

My Beede tachometer has been jumping from 6000 to 7000 for the last few months. I checked all of the wiring to make sure it was tight on the gauge. I'm having a tough time finding a replacement for it and the closest one I have found has a Honda trim gauge and I don't think it is compatible with a Yamaha outboard. I know other Triton owners have gone through this trouble already. Any thoughts or tips? Pics included

Record the pole setting on the back of the gauge.
Using a small screw driver change the setting to every available setting numerous times.
Return the setting to the original setting.
    Test the operation.

Also verify with Triton that what it's set on now is the correct setting. That and what Savage said will probably fix your problem.

If that does not fix the problem you can still buy Beede gauges from Faria.

I had a similar problem this summer....
I think the dial gets moved a bit or gets dirty inside the contacts...
Take it to the boat ramp, take a small screwdriver, and warm up the boat, and adjust the dial, mine would go all the way around, it may not supposed to, but it does. Find the spot that the idle rpm is correct and you should be golden.
Turning the dial you can easily see what is the correct setting. Slightly press when turning too I think.

Here's the chart, but good luck on getting the same as the chart....LOL!

I have a whole working very nice set from a 2007 if you'd be interested. I switched to Mercury system links. Pm if interested. I'm not sure on price.
