Stratos 273 and Power Pole Adapter to CMC Jack Plate

Anyone using a power pole 8' system on their Stratos 273 with manual CMC jackplate? Did some looking around on the power pole website and they are recommending an adapter plate between motor and jack plate. Curious if anyone has any success with an adapter connecting to the side of the CMC plate?

I'm going to say they are suggesting that due to the size of the rear of a 273. They aren't terribly big boats, so mounting it to the side of the plate instead of against the hull gives it a little more breathing room. I had a '99 273 with a 150. That boat was like a go-cart on the water...fun and fast.

I wouldn't be concerned about using the adapter. They recommend it and they are the experts on that topic.

I think the issue has more to do with the fact that it's a CMC jack plate.
