    Man I have a 20xd with 225 promax and have 2 tubes tucked under spash guard. I do have 15 inch backplate . It makes some noise trimming up and down but it's been 2 years and all is good

    What size tubing are you guys using? I think mine is 2.5”

    I have no problems with the 225X or the 260! Maybe a problem with setback and engine height?

    I assume it’s better to get a larger jack plate than adding spacers?

    Yep, spacers are just a crutch and could have possible problems somewhere down the line.....a jackplate is a permanent fix!

    Hey Crank, thanks for the reply. I have a 21xrd and after 5 years my tube was cut by the splash guard...I still haven't replaced it after 8 or so months. Will replace in the next month or so and had a few questions and maybe mine was a little too long also but will also cut the guard.
