Solix's finally installed on my Z18

I finally got time Christmas Eve to install my Solix's. Used Precision Sonars mounts.
Still working out the heading sensor details.

Is it possible the 15 on the bow is too big? Lol.

LOL! I'm replacing that factory gimbal mount on the 15 with a Precision Sonar Wave Crusher mount. Its a lot stronger than the gimbal bracket. I was thinking I could increase the angle and use the graph as a wing for added bow lift.

Seriously though, If I hadn't gotten such a great deal on the used 15 here in BBC, I would probably have put a 12 up front. I thought the Ultrex was hard to see over when trimmed out. That 15 is like a billboard mounted to the bow.

Awesome set up...just purchased my custom built 2018 Z18, thinking about switching to Solix myself, any idea if the Solix 12 would flush mount???...I can’t get a definitive answer anywhere...even called Humminbird and they couldn’t tell me...I really wanna flush mount the 12 at the dash but before I buy it I wanna make sure it would fit...thanks in advance for any help

Thanks I think it could be "made" to fit flush mounted, but it wouldn't be the idea installation. The screen is edge to edge glass. The glare alone is reason enough to mount it on a Precision Sonar or similar type set up. Also, with that much $$ tied up in a sonar unit I would want the option of being able to remove it from the boat if needed.
