What is the difference in the 21 SS. And the 21 SST and how are they in comparison to the XRS. I've been in a 20 XD for a long time now and thinking it's about time for a new one.

Believe they have the same pad with different top cap. I see you are from Leesburg; I am originally from your area; although I live in Kansas, all my kin are still back there. My dad still lives on the warf at Rocky Fork lake. There will be others along shortly to give you more specifics. Dave

Did a little looking. They say on the bullet page that it is the SS pad and an XRS top cap. How does the SS run compared to a 20 XD there aren't any around here except 20 XD and 21 XD. I've spent some time in a 21XD with a friend of mine but he don't like to run like I do. I like the way the 21-10 boats fish but I'm thinking there a bit slower. Hoping a SST will make up some of the difference in my 20XD.

SST is the best of both worlds IMO. My only gripe is the front deck has a lip instead of letting the lids go all the way back

A lot depends on set up, a 21'10" XDC or RDC will run good numbers especially with a 300 on the back

Look how they mounted the trolling motor on the SST. Over hangs a lot.

Looks like the SS has a larger rod box. What's the down fall of the deck lay out on it. Looks like more storage on it than the SST.

Things I don’t like about the SST. You lose a bit of deck space. We fish 2 off the front.

Rod storage is deeper so will be harder put in and take out rods fast.

The way they mounted the trolling motor if you run it shallow it will interfere with opening the compartment on the passenger side. I also don’t like that it’s hanging off the boat.

its go bad on the 21ss they didn’t make a storage with the step. Kinda just waisted space. Also the front drivers side compartment if they made the lid wider to the side.

What very little I’ve looked at both boats in person I’d rather have the SS with the switch panel and graph mounting area of the SST. So give me the first 3’ of the SST and the rest of the boat being the SS. This is just my personal opinion though.

It looks like they could have done a little better with the compartments on the SS they seam to be short and narrow. But I do like the longer left side rod box. The SST box lids are longer and wider than a XRD thought. I'm coming out of a 20 XD and like it just fine but would like a little more deck space.

I have a 20xd and my old man has a 21ss. I like both of them. To me the fish close to the same. As far as the storage in the step on the ss it does have one just like the x boats it’s just 2 separate lids. As far as ride I can’t compare it to my 20 because I’ve never had it in rough water, but I’ve been in plenty of rough water in his ss and it rides great. I don’t like the layout of the sst and would definitely take the ss. Another thing I’ve noticed is the 3 lids on the back deck make it easier to get to your batteries compared to the one big lid on the x boats. My boat does sit a little more level in the water but I’m sure mine having a 2.5 on the back has a lot to do with that. The ss is a great boat and when setup right is a runner. He ran his to 102 last December.

Pulled the trigger on a new SST yesterday. Black on black with silver pins gray carpet. Hope to pick it up in a couple weeks after they swap motors for me.
