A little off the fishing topic but was wondering if any of you have been to Canaan Valley or SnowShoe to ski?
Im coming up from Mississippi this week with my 12 yr old to let him try skiing. I am looking at these 2 places.

SnowShoe hands down!!! Rent a Condo and stay on mountain and slope. Village is awesome a night.
The highest ski slopes on the East Coast are an hour East of Bristol at Banner-Elk, NC. Beech Mountain and Sugar Mountain are much closer to you than the West Virginia ski mountains.
My sister sold her Aspen condo and bought a house in NC in a golf/equestrian neighborhood. They love the place.
Been to both many times and I agree Snowshoe is better.

I've been to winter place ski resort right outside of beckley. I'm no slope expert but it was nice.
