    Ultrex Cut transducer cable

I pinched the transducer ext. cable in the mount and cut it. I replaced the ext. cable but the US2 still does not work. I guess it damaged the wire going into the head of the trolling motor. How hard is it replace the wire or do I have to replace the entire transducer? Thanks

You have to replace the end cap with the transducer built in. Is it an 80 or 112? Could have also stretched to wire out of the connector. If it is still under warranty bring to ASC for repair.

If the wire going into the head of the motor is damaged, then the transducer will have to be replaced. To replace, the lower unit has to be torn completely down and the transducer wire ran up the shaft.

I bought a "Troll Jacket" for mine and I am going to remove my transducer cable and Hydrowave cable from running down the mount to the pedal cable so that doesn't happen to me! Google "Troll Jacket" it is a clean way to run the cables from the head to the hull!!

Been down this road before several times

Your problem is why we recommend and sell so many of our Cable Guards

might want to consider forgoing the internal transducer and add an external transducer and a Cable a Guard would probably be a Better investment

looking more into these cable guards... what happens if running through structure and it gets caught on the guard wire? Would it snap or cut the guard wire if pulled by say wood and you don’t catch it in time or what?
