I bet I have the cleanest rods and reels around. I even waxed my rods..... Just waiting for Wacky Worm to have their spring sale for something to do.
Well one bright thing... after today the days will begin to get longer.

I was organizing tackle and working on inventory to get an order together last night. I did think to myself "What are you doing!? Its not even Christmas, you idiot!" Then, I sat and watched LakeForkGuy catching giants in Mexico on YouTube. That did not help.

I’m also still fishing, same as you. Catching them in 39-40° water. Not easy but still possible when you find them

Fishing the lower pools on the Susquehanna. Little or no ice till it gets cold again. 34 -35 water temps. Dead sticking Hair jigs and z-man TRDs.
Last year it froze in December but the ice was gone mid January. So any time the air temps gets above 35 we go

The Ranger is tucked away in the garage but the Jet boat isn't winterized so I say we have a cabin fever gathering!! Who's in? I hear the river is low and not sure where a good place to meet would be but it's an idea?!?!?!?

Well...I pulled the Tin out to make sure it was good to go for a day on the river and it looks like I need to order up some parts for the pump. Going to order those up here in a day pr two but I don't think we'll be able to get on the river for a while as the temps look like they are going to drop pretty good!

Managed to get out Monday. Enough open water to cast a line. Caught a couple smallmouths 1 walleye and foul hooked a carp. all and all a pretty good day. There were 3 jet boats out. Bad news is we had 2" of rain yesterday and the river is going up 5'. There is still alot of ice north of us and I got to believe its headed our way.
