    Retracting Rod Tie-Down Strap

Over the years, I have tried all the rod tie down straps, and have not been completely happy with any of them. The one I liked best was the Skeeter that automatically retracted when you turned it loose, but it requires access under the deck to tie off the loose end of the bungee cord. After some thought, I figured a way to make an automatic retracting assembly that could be mounted into a blind space. If you have a hollow gunwale, like on my RT188, this will work for you. This link will take you to a PDF with parts list, prints and assembly instructions that can be viewed, downloaded or printed:https://www.amazon.com/clouddrive/sh...uAADq25Gw52Ccc
