First impressions of the new boat

Johnny, what motor do you have on your new rig? Sorry, I'm sure it's been posted but I don't get on here much anymore.

I have the 300XS on it Rocko. 1.62 gears. Currently I have a 30 Bravo on it and a 27 Quad IV for summer fishing loads. I think the 30 isn't going to be enough when I get to really wake it up though.

I am taking bets on how long it will be before Johnny Johnson gets into a 300. He messed up and drove my boat the other day in Dallas. I saw the look on his face when he mashed it down a little. It's all over Johnny Boy! There will be a super clean Sport 250 going to somebody one day. BTW Johnny, if you do adhere to my prophecy I might want to trade you out of that 250 in case......LOL

I believe you are the man to hit trips with a 250 if anybody can. I still want first dibs on your Sport though. LOL

I heard a rumor from a trusted source that the 23' boat project was scrapped. Anyone know anything??

I know I waited 2 years for that 23' boat before I finally decided I had waited long enough. That's when I purchased this boat. I don't know when or if that boat will come to market.

Johnny next time you take the boat out do me a favor and see how slow you can make it stay on plane without porpoising. After feeling how the additional setback and new lip feel I think I'd like that but mine has to be able to pull a couple little knuckleheads on a tube.

Ok Johnny. I was able to go 18.8 without porpoise. That was with motor jacked all the way down and trim at 0. With the jack up to about 9 and the trim at 5.5 the slowest was 23 mph.

Yes I am. My launch at the house is too low in the winter. I bought a 1-year launch permit and it is worth every penny of the $40.00.
