L Model Bow Sonar Unit ... Angled or Straight?

Seems to be a lot of buzz about this.

First it's worth mentioning that Phoenix introduced the angled bow in their PHX series and is adding more models with the angled configuration. Add the L Model to the mix and appears that the overall design has industry momentum. Angling the bow seems to accommodate larger sonar units and the fixed cable position on the Ultrex.

So for those of you that prefer to go straight, Precision Sonar has a solution.

Our design team has developed a Donut Shaped Wedge with an offset angle and center cable access hole. When combined with our Bow Replacement Panel and Wave Crusher Mount or Over & Under stack mount, the DONUT WEDGE allows the sonar unit to be positioned straight and level.

Our design allows the sonar unit to be tilted to eliminate screen glare and with a lower profile flipping and pitching is not an issue. No worries about the factory gimbals breaking or the need for additional stiffeners. The Wave Crusher Mount features our 1/4" Heavy Duty SmartBrackets and Big Water Delran discs. The Smart Brackets can be optioned up on our Over & Under Mount as well. Like all Precision Mounts the set up is Rock Solid.

Not that it makes any difference but I like the standard angle on the L Model. Everything works very well.
