    St. Clair Lodging

Hey guys, I am looking into doing a vacation to St. Clair this summer. I am just looking if anyone knows any cabins, campsites with cabins, or rentals on the lake? I looked on VRBO and another site had about a dozen places. Just looking to see what is out there.

    Any help would be appreciated!

    Thanks

The US side of the lake is a zoo. Metro Detroit is not tourist or fisherman friendly. I would look at the Canadian side (Mitchell's Bay area) if you want a nice outdoors type place to stay. The US side is going to be a smoggy, big city, traffic jams, high crime, type place to be. The boat traffic will be a lot heavier on the US side as well. Metro Detroit has well over 7 million people. The Canadian side is more of a rural farmland type setting with very lite boat traffic in comparison.

I would look at this place: basshavencanada.com

Just note that the bass season doesn't open until the last Saturday in June on the Canadian side and if you plan to fish the Walpole Island Indian Reservation area you'll need both the Canadian and Walpole Indian license.
