Not sure what year they went all composited but believe it was around 96-97. My 95 has laminated stringers which are foam filled. The transom is still wood I believe, hadn't needed to get into that fortunately.

Never cut open a bunch of boats but "composite" doesn't mean "woodless." I can take wood and aluminum for example, bond together and say this transom is "composite."

My understanding is they went composite for all at the same time starting in 98 for some models and all boats in 99+ were all composite. no idea if that means a 2000 has "no wood" or composite materials :) I never worked at the plant only them or someone who cut up/drilled into multiple year/models would know for sure.

If its in good shape and has been cared for wood wouldn't be a huge deal. Water in a "composite" transom can still ruin it causing delimitation etc.
