I leave both mine on from the moment I start using them on the water....til I pull out of the water and take them off the boat.

Nothing to do with ocd. You simply can’t leave a chirp transducer pinging out of the water unless it’s a garmin. You’ll also eliminate cross talk. You don’t want transducers in the water pinging the same freq at the same time
I used to leave mine on without any issues. I did read on here (it has to be true) that the larger transducers, si,mega, etc could go bad if left out of the water. Now I have made it a habit to use stand by mode. I also disable 360 ping out of the water as well! Once you get used to doing this it takes no time at all. The cost to replace the transducers ain't cheap! You know when it will go bad it will be tournament morning!!!
I always leave mine on, helps me watch out for kayakers .

If my battery is good, I leave it on. If the battery is down I turn it off.
I normally leave it on. Vertical for crappie I put the console in standby until I need to move. If I'm sight fishing I turn them off. Some days I don't even push the 'on' button on either. I don't run zillions of miles.
My HB I use too... But on my Lowrance I put on stand by

Twin 8' Power Pole Blades
2 Solix 12 gen 3 , with mega 360
Front one stays on

I leave it on.
When my master switch would cut power to the front console, and I was going to make a long run, I would turn it off from the front seat. I somehow lost that power lead and had to connect it to continuous power, so it stays on. When I trailer, I disconnect the back power plug.
Both mine stay on all day why would you turn it off?
Off and standby are not the same. No one would actually power the unit down to run between spots
