    G2 cost versus a SHO?

Anyone have an idea of the cost differential between a 225 G2 and a 225 yamaha SHO?

Down here the G2 is line ball with other 225HP-pricing everywhere will be different so best to ring around your area. BUT make sure you price up the SHO with power steering, fly by wire, ability to change from hand to foot pedal, 10 year warranty up your way, ability to easily check your gearlube and more.

When I’ve priced the G2 in comparison to either Mercury or Yamaha, accounting for the value/cost of 10 years warranty, the G2 is the least expensive of the bunch. All of the additional features—what Huey said plus the digital dash readout, best in class torque and economy, and auto trim—are extremely valuable but free icing on the cake.

Not taking into consideration everything jc2bg stated, the price difference between the SHO and the G2 at the 225HP was around $2,400. The G2 being the more expensive option.

Here in Ft Smith the G2 was $1,000 more than the Sho. But a lot more value than the Sho.
