    thinking about selling Jag.....

I haven't been able to fish much the past couple of years. My sons AAU basketball occupied most of my time during the summer. Last summer was last year of AAU, so I decided to buy a new boat to get me back motivated into going fishing . Well that hasn't happened and I'm seriously considering selling my brand new 2017 Jag 400r combo. I just cant seem to get the urge back. The boat sits in the garage and acts more like a storage for garage supplies rather than spending time on the water fishing. Every year the boat sits in the garage not being used is another year it decreases in value. Boat has clear title, so financially it is no burden on me at all. Hobbies are changing though and want to make room in garage for another sports car. Think i am making right decision and if not ill buy another boat down the road. Going to give some more thought, but think you'll be seeing my boat posted soon in boats for sale section.

Congrats on being able to afford whatever you like! Pretty sure you will take a beating on the selling no matter whenever you sell it, takes a select few to afford that.

Priorities change as life goes by. Been there, done that. If you’re dead set on getting out of fishing then put the Jag out and see what happens. Personally, I just can’t see life without a boat, and fishing. Had a sports car ((BMW M Raodster) for 6 years. Sold it and and bought another BassCat. Just never could give up all things fishing completely.
Be happy in all things you do.

Selling a 400 Jaguar is a rare situation on short ownership. The bright side is someone will be able to get a great boat, almost brand new and at a great price tag.

    Merry Christmas everyone!

I've felt the same thing and done the same thing more than once. Once or twice I regretted it selling it, but I hated letting it just sit and watch it depreciate. Like watching a savings account go backwards. If I'm using it, I don't care about depreciation. You'll take a hit, but 60k today is better than 55k next year and 50k the next................................... There's the chance in a couple of years (might be much longer though) , you'll get the urge again and want another boat. You might then regret selling it, but you also can go get something else or the same thing if you want.

Sorry to hear this. You helped me out with suggesting the REV 4 for my Jag 350 v-rod. You might want to wait for Spring to make sure you really don't fish before getting rid of it. That is one sweet rig, best wishes.

Seen that boat in person if its the one that came though skyline. Made my caracal look like a row boat. Its hard some times to keep the pace and get out there. I wouldn't give up on it, and I would definitely work hard to get some use out of such a big investment. Maybe join a local club and make the promise to yourself go fish one of their monthly events. And if it brings ya down to norman or wylie I want to ride in one with that 400R

Man oh man, the Jaguar with a 400R is my dream boat. Is it a dual console?

If it’s the one I saw it is the single most awesome use of a square acre I’ve ever seen. Congrats on owning it and good luck with whatever comes next

Then my wife would divorce me and I’d have to sell the Jag. I could start the cycle all over again! What a boat though, maybe I’ll win the lottery this weekend.

As luck would have it, you’re thinking about selling your Jag, and I’m thinking about winning the lottery.
I can see where this could be mutually beneficial. I’d love to own it!

We all enjoy our bass fishing for sure. Thats why we have bass boats.
Some times I just go hi proformance boat riding.
Cruising around and having a relaxing drive at the lake.

    Merry Christmas
