    fueling 2011 721

It takes me forever to put gas in. Seen all the posts about the check valve and canister. Took the top off today and I don't have either one. Anybody know what my problem is since I don't have a check valve and canister.

The older models helped to have the boat higher on the gas input side. I know its a PITA, but a 4X4 long enough that can be driven up on by the port side trailer tires helps a lot. Or just look for angled gas lots and pull in with the starboard side downhill.

What does the 4x4 do besides lifting one side of the boat

i have read this several times and find it amazing that some Phoenix owners need to find a gas station with a grade so they can gas up. Luckily this seems to have been resolved I hope

On my 17 721 I have no issues unless it is a severe lean toward the pump side. See the same if you try to fuel on the water and stand on same side. My Tritons had same issue on the water. Turning the handle up fueling on the water helps never had a need pumping at station. The worse I ever saw was our 94 Stratos 201 Pro

Nothing, that's the fix. They added an exterior vent to the 2015 models and later.

I have a 2012 and it helps if I turn the gas nozzle upside down....if that makes sense

I turn the nozzle upside down and it helps. If the 4x4 does nothing, "that's the fix" what does it fix. My fuel line runs straight to the tank, no canister. My vent hose runs from the tank the fill hole nothing in between. No kinks in the vent line. Could my vent line have something in it blocking the air coming out?

It’s not just a Phoenix problem, several boat manufacturers had a the issues. My son has Triton that’s hard to fuel.

Pump's hose handle at 12 o'clock or maybe even 1 o'clock, may help.

2014 here. tips based on that

1- don't let it get totally empty
    2- I drive up on a 2x4.

Turn nozzle upside down. I fill at about 1/2 to 1/3 max output of hose. It is what it is.

I have a 2009 721 and have to hold the handle at about 1-2 o'clock and it'll pump just as fast as the pump will pump. Back before I learned about doing that it took me forever to fuel up and sometimes the gas would overflow out while fueling.

If you don't put the handle in all the way it helps too. And for the record on mine I can hold it any way and it will go in as fast as it can.

I have done the upside down thing in all positions and it fills slooow. Like I said before I have a hose straight to the tank and a vent straight from the tank to the fill hole. It seems to me that it should fill just fine but it don't. There has to be something I am not understanding.
