    Tilt Cylinder Tri Lobe Pin

I recently had my tilt/trim unit replaced due to a leak down issue. I was looking at where the tilt cylinder attaches to the motor and noticed the "trilobe pin" does not appear to be seated all of the way. I gave it a couple of moderate taps with punch and hammer and it didn't budge. Does the large end (rear of motor) of the pin need to be fully flush, it appears it is out maybe 1/8 or slightly less.

It does not fit flush. It does stick out about the amount you mentioned.

Read post #19 and 20 in my thread from years ago.
