    2011 Nitro Z-7 150 Merc

Having problems getting boat out of water. Only running 52mph. Installed a 6 inch jackplate with 6 inch of offset. Can some of you tell me your set up please. Getting frustrated. Thanks in advance.

    What prop are you running?
Any idea of your prop to pad measurement?

Did you just get this boat or are you the original owner?

(We) Read about it recently, but don't know exactly what to look for... Can you shed some light on this?

my 13 will run around 52 with full gear and couple big fishers on board. Empty just driver 63ish is top.

CB foil was great for poping up better, I think I am 2 1/2 on a 6inch plate.

@ammdrew I'm unfamiliar with a CB foil, can you elaborate? Did this help your hole shot or your top end speed?

Nitro replaced my hull due to a hooked hull. I was running 49 mph on gps at 5000 rpm, and the was absolutely no lift. I ran it the other day after it returned from the factory with a new hull. I was running 65 mph on gps at 5600 rpm with tons of lift. This was 2 full grown men and 13 gallons of gas in the boat.

Ordered my new hull. 45 MPH @ 5200 RPM with just me and 1/4 tank of gas. Third one in this area that I know of.

What year was your boat that nitro replaced?
How many times did you have to send it back?

Try a 23p tempest plus, most z7 guys have his success with that prop. Also need to figure out exactly what your pad to prop is.

Mine is a 2013 Z7. This is the only time it's been sent back.

Must be nice. Mine is a z19 2017. Sent back for gel coat cracking in October got it back at the end of November. They did such a bad job it was like they just tried to patch it up. After I get it back I pulled the carpet back in the rod locker and you could see daylight though the hull. From I guess they sanded so thin. Wish I knew how to put pics on here. And I sent it back to them again in the same week I got it back.

Is it at renegade? I just picked mine up last week and saw one up there that had fiberglass problems. It looked awful.

That was it. Hopefully they fix it right and you can enjoy it like you’re suppose to

For the original poster: What do I need to look for to determine if I have a hooked hull? I'm the 3rd owner and have contacted nitro about a hooked hull, but they "have no record of this problem" which I'm sure is bs, but I'm basically SOL because hull warranty can only be transferred to the 2nd owner. Really sucks because the boat only had 80 hours on the original motor when I bought it."
