    Gel Coating Transducer Holes

    I have 4 old transducer holes in close proximity to each other. I have worked with gel coat in the past but it has been years. After masking off the area I am working with is roughly 2"x2". I have reamed out each hole with a drill bit by hand, should I drill out each hole a size larger to expose fresh glass? What different grits of sand paper should I be using to finish? Any other tips appreciated, the color I am working with is black BTW.

    If you have a Basscat, you can call and get the exact black to match, blacks are not all the same
