Fred, Brochure says 17 gals for aux tank under-seat. Regardless, 17 or 20, it's not going to take you very far...

My 96 221 with 225EFI sucks down about 2 mpg while running. A 17 or 20 gallon tank wouldn't get me through most days even on our small lakes here in NE Ohio.

For what I fish here In lower Michigan it’s plenty of gas, if needed I have room to haul 2 5 gallon cans

LOL, I was thinking the same thing. The smaller tank might be good for the lakes he fishes but will hurt the resale, like it will be tough to sell to someone that fishes big water.

No plan on selling and the butt seat came out of my 201 when I fished redman or now the BFL I have a really bad back so making long runs don’t work for me and I only make it to the Great Lakes a few times a year I can fish all day on St. Clair Michigan waters only on that small tank

St. Clair is a heck of a fishery so I would have no problems doing what your doing! You set that rig up how you need it to be and if you plan on keeping it why not!

Looks like you used some quality parts. I like the Blue Sea components. Pic isn’t high res enough for me to see how you did your terminations so I can’t comment on how good you did there.

I’m surprised you pulled the tank. Seems like you could have left it and still got all the electrical to fit. I’m guessing you should store that tank in case you decide to drop it back in. Then again, I betcha somebody out there needs one. So, maybe you can make their day.

I’m wondering how moving your fuel weight forward has affected the performance of the boat and its attitude in the water.
