That's not the proper way to do a drop shot
He cant find it with his fancy depth finder ??
How do u like that sea dek? Sucks on the rod....
Big companies love this guy.
Dang! I have had that to happen to me before for sure!!
You going to spend that much on tackle you need to learn a little better handling practices just my opinion... I have been fishing in a boat for 44 years of my life I have only lost to A rod and reel combos and they both totaled about $170
I can't believe that someone would spend that much money on a rod and reel combo........But that's just my thoughts.
Y'all be careful out there and don't catch'em all!
Give me a waypoint and I'll go get it.
BR200 says you go in and get it!

Unfortunately it doesn't take much to amass a 1k combo these days. 1 NRX paired with a Metainium reel and your pretty much there.A lot of guy have multiple combo's like this laying on deck.Kicking one overboard has to pretty much ruin your day.
Been there, done that. NRX with a Stella, lost off the back deck of my buddies boat between spots. It was one of our first trips in his new boat, and we didn't have a secure tie down system for the rear seater yet. I found out the insurance I carried on my boat covered it, after a small deductible. They didn't ask for receipts, just pictures of the NRX label and reel box (I keep all of those). I've since upped that part of my boat insurance to $10K. It was only like another $5 a year.

Not sure if you've ever tried that, but it's not as easy as it sounds. I lost a brand new GLX with a lower end reel on it a few years ago. It was winter, wearing gloves and the lure got hung on something while casting and I lost it overboard. 20' deep, put a waypoint down. Dragged and dragged the area for days to no avail. Went scuba looking for it many times. Never found it. It sunk very slowly, so I figured current from spring rains, etc probably pulled it down lake at some point.

are they fishing for grouper?
that sucks
well, your reflex's are awfully slow to be mis handling a $1k combo.
either that, or you have too much gear on and can't move.
I hate it when that happens.
If you have to wear that much clothing you shouldn't be fishing in the first place.
I made a cast once and somehow snagged a nearby rod in the process... BLOOP! right in the water. I immediately tossed out a marker, but it still took me a good hour to snag it. I was pretty happy I was able to get it back in the boat Biggest difference though is that my combo cost about $150, not $1000
