    transducer for high speed

I am hooking up helix 12 for console with side imaging. I want to be able to use sonar for high speed. If I "y" connect it, can i use it at the same time as the side/down imaging transducer so that it will show sonar, and the other will show DI/SI? Also, which transducer would yall suggest? I am putting a helix 10 on the trolling motor and have the stock transducer that came with it. Would it be sufficiant. Thanks

OK, attach the Helix 12 SI transducer to the transom above the bottom of the hull, a jackplate is a good place.
Get the XP 9 20 shoot-thru transducer for the bilge and install it correctly, then attach the SI and 2D to the display with the 9 M SIDB Y cable.

The Humminbird AD MTM mount or the Transducer Shield and Saver TM-HX-1 will attach the MEGA SI transducer to the trolling motor.

Thanks for the help Wayne. Rigged this way the sonar uses the shoot through and the di/si uses the one mounted on jackplate correct? I don't have to change them back and forth

That's correct with the y-cable. Imaging and temp comes from the mega transducer and 2D from the shoot-thru transducer
