Lews bb1 pro series speed spool ?

Thinking bout picking one up from tacklewarehouse for $135, i was gonna get the 6:4:1 amd use it for big cranks and swimbaits. My question is it says its designed for braided line. Does that mean it wont hold very much flouro? The line capacity says 12/160 is that braid or what? Thanks

That's based on 12lb mono. diameter. Another option are the Super Duties which Cabela's has for $99. Maybe sold out.

The BB1 Pro Series are great reels and as krindgen stated, the 12/160 if based on mono. diameter. I believe the 'designed for braided line' statement is directed towards the 'tie off' holes in the spool that prevent braid 'slippage'.

I can't comment on a comparison, but I know my BB1s will chuck a crankbait a mile with little effort. I use them for all my moving baits. Though I've not had a Tatula I my hands, I do like the T-wing thing and it looks like the prices are a pretty good value.

I already picked up two Bb1 pros from the TW sale. Thats adding to the 4 I already have. They are true workhorses and cast further than any of my other lews and shimano reels.

On a side note, I think the new model is a rip off now that it doesn't come with the carbon fiber handle.
