    Anyone use this?

I am wanting to add a 10" helix to my console, and I dont want to RAM mount it if I dont have to. Has anyone used a product from the link below. I have a 2008 285xl, and it looks like it would work for my console.

I haven't used one, but at a glance I would say that other than your tach being partially covered it looks like it would work well for you.

i had van build it for me. no one else would help. i have one for a 1198 that may work for you if you're interested. he will make one without the holes for the gauges if you want. I use engine data via nmea so I don't need to see the gauges

How does it mount to your console? I have a 597 in the console now. Would I have to remove it?

yes you would have to remove any in dash unit

my installer built a custom backing plate for the initial bracket. Van built me a new bracket when i switched to the humminbird solix 15 and he provided a backing plate with it.

this is the backing plate my installer built

this is the new bracket that Van at BBT built

    this is the backing plate
