    Lower Unit Housing SHO

    Knocked the skeg off my lower unit
    insurance/dealer replaced housin
    gave me the old one

    is it worth anything to anyone?
    I can send ya pics if interested
    Half the skeg s knocked off though

    if there is still enough to put a stainless skeg protector on, then possible. otherwise

    All depends on how bad it is and price. But yes it is probably worth something to someone, even if just for a beater/spare.

    The reason bwp777 says no is cause a case that has had most of the skeg replaced can be dangerous if it were to come apart at high speed. If it were mine I'd have it fixed and use it as a beater (if I was going shallow) or spare to stay on the water if something happened to my primary, but I would never run it hard, keeping speeds at a safe level in case anything happened structurally while running

    The gears checked out ok per the dealer so this is just the housing
    Yeah not sure I’d trust a welded on skeg....
    dealer said it woulda been cheaper to weld new skeg on but with insurance and being its a close to new boat I just went for the new housing
