    14 Pointer

I wish it was better looking but he needed to go. All he was doing was eating because he was short on plumbing.

Been a few articles on deer like that lately...cactus bucks... Short on plumbing, those antlers in velvet were likely to keep growing and never drop or harden.. Very cool for you... Sucks for him..

Doe, the antlers don't harden because of lack of testosterone.

Usually with a buck it happens because of an injury... Google cactus bucks... There have been some massive ones taken the last couple of years. As far as I know does can still breed... But the injured bucks cannot...

I agree but there were some issues here a few years back and some studies showed that eating bad corn. Molded/mildewed corn was causing testosterone loss in some deer. Now is it true, I have no idea and not sure if I agree with that but that's what they claim.

I've read stories where that molded corn can kill..
I'm not saying that the deer is one or the other, just with a buck that is usually what happens...most of the time it is caused by an injury...as far as the left or right side thing, I've got two on my wall that had leg issues and were messed up on the opposite side of their racks... This is something different...
